I didn't learn to cook from a recipe book.

I learned standing next to my grandma in her kitchen, watching her hands move like she'd done it a thousand times. Because she had. She was a head chef, and later a head patisserie chef, but she walked away from all of that to look after me, my brothers, and my cousins when we were growing up.

Sunday lunch in our house was never just a meal. It was an event. Roast lamb, homemade puddings, the kind of food that made everyone find their way to the table. We always had an open house. There was always enough. There was always room.

Now my mum can no longer cook. She lost her sight, and with it, that part of her. So I cook for her. The same recipes, the same care, the same love she always gave us. I get to give it back.

That's what Mustard Seed Studio is rooted in. Not a trend, not a business plan. Four generations of women who believed that feeding people is an act of love. I'm just making sure that story doesn't stop here.
